COPPER WIRE STOLEN FROM HYDRO SUB-STATION

A large quanity of copper wire has been stolen from Mackay Street in Pembroke. OPP report that the sometime back on November 1st, entry was gained into a hydro sub-station in the 900 block of MacKay Street. The wire was reported stolen the following morning.

HIGHWAY 17 REOPENED AFTER EARLIER CRASH

Highway 17 has reopened after being closed a couple hours late this afternoon-early evening. The accident involved a dump truck and a car and occured near the intersection with Storyland Road. It's not clear what the extent of injuries are yet.
