PETAWAWA HERITAGE VILLAGE RECEIVES SOME HELP FOR UPGRADES

Upgrades are on the way to the Leder Haus building at the Petawawa Heritage Village. Through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the village has been awarded $15,000 to help cover the costs of installing a new cedar shingle roof on the building. The project has an esitmated price tag of $20,000, so the Petawawa Heritage Society will fork out the remaining $5,000. In addition to that, the Federal Government is also providing money for the villages annual settlers festival which will take place from August 11th to 13th. A total of $16,300 has been handed out, through the Canada 150th Community Foundation program.
