Trying to become an armwrestling champion isn't easy or cheap.
Alma Keuhl has been ranked pretty high in the armwrestling standings, but you have to compete in qualifiers before you can get to the championships.
Between registration fees, travel and accomodations it can cost hundreds, even thoussands of dollars, so Gallant Media is holding an event at the Great Canadian Warehouse in Petawawa this Saturday (July 15) from 8 until midnight.
It will feature dancing, prizes like Sportchek and Wizards Den 2.0 gift cards, a photobooth and the chance to armwrestle Keuhl.
Keuhl says she's astounded by the community's support.
Keuhl is a 21 year old from Rankin who will be using the money that is raised for travel expenses to the many armwrestling competitions across North America this summer, including Michigan State Armwrestling Championship.
