NATIONAL FRY DAY A CHANCE TO GIVE BACK FOR TRIMMER'S FRIES
7/17/2017 9:22:32 AM

Trimmer's Fries celebrated National French Fry Day by giving back to the community. Gene O'Brien, Secretary of the Chapeau Agricultural Society, says money donated by the local business will go a long way to breathe new life into an organization that used to be a vibrant part of their community.

The local chip truck on Route 148 in Allumette Island donated $500 to the 4-H club, and owner Cheryl Trimm tells myFM News that even though MNA Andre Fortin was unable to attend, he agreed to donate an additional $200 to the club. According to O'Brien, that money will be used to subsidize membership fees for area youth.
