TOWNSHIP AGREES TO WAIVE FEES FOR SENIORS FITNESS
9/13/2017 7:51:58 AM

Fitness for seniors in the Township of Whitewater Region just got a bit easier. The Whitewater Bromley Community Health Centre asked that their fees for renting out the Cobden Arena for fitness classes be waived. Council had two options, approve the waiving of the fee, or direct staff to review the community grants policy so there's a standard on what situations allow for fees to be waived. Council opted to allow the Whitewater Bromley Community Health Centre to use the hall in the arena for free once they heard that other locations in the municipality allow the group to host fitness classes without a rental fee. They also heard that there can be up to 25 participants in the class, so the Cobden Arena is the only place big enough. This agreement will go from September 2017 until May of 2018.
