The big four bad driving habits are the focus once again for the OPP as they conduct their annual Thanksgiving long weekend crackdown. Provincial police say officers will be concentrating on the four main causes of motor vehicle deaths - distracted driving, speeding, impaired driving and failure to wear a seat belt. Those have been contributing factors in 182 of the 239 road deaths investigated by the O-P-P so far this year. Speeding and distracted driving lead the four, with distracted driving a factor in 63 deaths, while speeding contributed to 56 deaths as of October 1st. Meanwhile, police note that the number of people driving without a seatbelt is up.
