MUSKRAT WATERSHED COUNCIL RECEIVES MUCH NEEDED FUNDING TO CONTINUE WORK
10/10/2017 8:48:34 AM

The Muskrat Watershed Council has received a huge boost from the Township of Whitewater Region. A $40,000 cheque was presented to the council on behalf of the township at last week's council meeting. Chair of the MWC, Karen Coulas, says the $3,000 being donated from Street Strut proceeds will be huge for the organization.

$5,000 is from an annual grant given by the township, and half of the remaining $32,000 is composed of a one time grant, and the other half is an interest free loan from the township.
