It was not an easy day for jurors who bore witness to graphic autopsy photographs as the Basil Borutski murder trial continues in Ottawa. According to expert testimony from Forensic Pathologist, Dr. Christopher Milroy, none of the victims survived for more than a few minutes after they were attacked on that fateful September day in 2015. A video of Borutski's interrogation was also shown to jurors, and not only did he confess to the murders of Carol Culleton, Anastasia Kuzyk and Nathalie Warmardam, but he said he felt empty, confused and disorientated in the hours after their deaths. He also said during interrogation that he understood what had happened was wrong, however, he's yet to utter a single word in his own defense during the trial.
