YOUNG MAN CHARGED FOR HAVING GUNS IN CAR: OPP

Two young men are facing charges after police say they found them in a vehicle with long guns. According to Renfrew OPP, officers responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint late Saturday night on Reid Road in Admaston Bromley. Upon arrival, officers found a 17 year old and a 20 year old with two long guns that belonged to someone else and neither male had the legal authority to possess a firearm. The younger suspect, from Killaloe Haggarty Richards Township, was charged with two counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon and underage drinking. The 20-year-old from Admaston Bromley Township faces a charge related to drinking in public and will not be named to protect the identity of the youth.
