TESTIMONY HEARD FROM MONTREAL DETECTIVES

The trial of a Horton youth, accused of second-degree murder in the death of his father continues in Pembroke court. Proceedings were moved to Courtroom Three today to facilitate the simultaneous translation from French for two witnesses
from the Montreal Police Service. The detectives were involved in the arrest of a sibling of the accused within their jurisdiction the day following the alleged Cobus Road homicide. Following the lunch break, the trial will again occupy (returned to) Courtroom Four, where the testimony of five more witnesses is scheduled to be heard. A 17 year-old who cannot be named due to his age stands charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 60 year-old Horton Township man on August 13th of 2016.
