11/10/2017 11:22:58 AM

Just a few games into their season, the Madawaska Junior Falcons have suspended operations.

The team was part of the Canadian Premier Junior Hockey League and brought exciting local hockey to Barry's Bay.

Club president Gary Medwid says that issues with their head coach is what led to the suspension.

He says this has been an embarrassment to the organization and plans are in the works to rebuild and bring a better team in next year.

Medwid also offered his sincere apologies to the fans and says to bear with them, and stay tuned for next season.
