MULITPLE ARRESTS AND CHARGES FOLLOWING AN ASSAULT INVESTIGATION

A report of a victim being assaulted, threatened and robbed at a Pembroke residence early in November has been dealt with in short order. On Wednesday (November 8th) the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP Crime Unit, with the Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team and Community Street Crime Unit executed search warrants at residences on Pembroke Street West and Bronx Street in Pembroke. A firearm, imitation firearms, drugs and cell phones were seized by police. Cody Delang Lapierre, age 28, and Anthony Mitchell Kargus, age 43, both of Pembroke are each charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. Shawn Patrick Drummond, age 41 of Laurentian Valley Township, is charged with assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and robbery with violence. Terry Lyle Wilford Turcotte, age 23 of Pembroke, is charged with using a firearm while committing an offence, pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. All four men remain in custody until their next court appearance in Pembroke on November 14th.
