Some changes on the docket regarding Bill 174, which is the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, is coming across as both concerning and confusing for the local vaping community. The bill, specifically Schedule 3, has been the subject of protest at Queen's Park. Opponents of the legislation worry about the legislation which would ban the promotion of some products in specialty shops to people over the legal smoking age, forbid all flavours and prohibit use in public spaces. Taryn Stewart, Manager of Valley Vape in Pembroke says the government is taking a sneaky approach.

Stewart says at this point, it's not clear how, if passed, the new regulations would effect local vape shops. She says when it comes to the flavoring of vaping juice, the new regulations would be similar to those imposed on flavoured cigerettes.
