12/1/2017 10:01:23 AM

Arnprior native John Leslie wants to go to his second Paralympic Games. Leslie, who finished 7th in Snowboard Cross at the 2014 Sochi Paralympics, is training for the games to be held in South Korea, March 9th to 18th of 2018. This week, he's in Pyha, Finland for a world-class snowboard cross event tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday, and John is hoping to do well. The twenty-five year-old is now the senior member of the team, but notes that financing his participation is still a matter of obtaining sponsorships.

John is well on his way to qualifying for his second Paralympic games, and hopes fans back home are as excited as he is.

    Leslie is a three-time World Cup bronze-medallist and a three-time, top-five World Cup finisher.
