FINAL RIDE STATS SHOW ONLY HANDFUL OF ARRESTS IN UPPER OTTAWA VALLEY

The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP have released the final numbers from this year's Festive R.I.D.E. program.

Police say that over the course of the campaign that ran from November 24 to January 2, 214 roadside checks were conducted.

Of those 214 stops, four people were charged with impaired driving, having over 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood or refusal to take a breathalyzer.

There were also two license suspensions for drivers who registered in the warning range.
