FIRST RESPONDERS NEED PUBLIC SAFETY BROADBAND NETWORK: WARDEN
2/12/2018 8:21:42 AM

You've probably heard about the Eastern Ontario Regional Network, but what about the Public Safety Broadband Network?
Renfrew County Warden Jennifer Murphy says the public safety network is included in the $299 million price tag for the EORN.
Murphy explains how the proposal for the network came about.

Murphy added that completing both networks at the same time will save nearly $50 million. To fund the projects, the Eastern Ontario Wardens Caucus has proposed that the provincial government, federal government and telephone companies will contribute $94.9 million and the EOWC will provide the remaining $14.2 million.
