2/12/2018 8:51:28 AM
A year to the day after additional charges were laid against him, Stan McBride Jr. will once again be in Pembroke Court. He faces a total of 20 charges - eleven counts of administering a noxious substance, five counts of sexual assault and two counts each of indecent assault and attempted sexual assault. The initial charges against McBride Jr. stem from the attempted sexual assault of a 15-year-old boy that allegedly occurred in South Algonquin Township in 1983. He was charged for those offences in December of 2016 and since that time, nine more alleged victims have come forward and McBride Jr. had other charges added on February 13, 2016. Today (Feb 13) he will have a preliminary hearing so a judge can determine if there is enough evidence to proceed to trial.
