OTTAWA VALLEY WASTE MANAGEMENT BOARD ELECTED FOR 2018
3/7/2018 1:57:10 PM

Some familiar faces are continuing to run the Ottawa Valley Waste Management Board. The OVWMB has held its first meeting for 2018. Laurentian Valley Mayor Steve Bennett begins his fifteenth year as Chair, while Petawawa Deputy Mayor Tom Mohns continues as Vice-Chair; this is his thirteenth year in the role. Pembroke Councillor Andrew Plummer begins his fourth term, and completing the list is North Algona Wilberforce Councillor Melvin Berndt, who begins his third term. The four municipalities using the Ottawa Valley Waste Recovery Centre in Laurentian Valley Township each name a representative and the Board oversees the waste processing facility and balances its books.
