SEVEN CHARGED AFTER MAJOR DRUG BUST IN PEMBROKE

Seven people have been charged after a drug bust in which police say they seized six pounds of marijuana. The Pembroke home was raided on Tuesday, where police say in addition to the pot, they found various other types of drugs including methamphetmaine, along with cash and a cell phone. 45 year old Michael Christink and 42 year old Paul Christink, both of Pembroke, are charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a schedule II drug for the purpose of trafficking. The others, 45 year old Jason Bergeron, 22 year old Brett Christink, and 19 year old Dylan Poole of Pembroke, along with 43 year old Jon Garry Cooligan of Deep River and 26 year old Jordan Cecil Wood of Whitewater Region are all charged with possession of methamphetamine and cannabis marihuana. All will appear in court on May 8th.
