MP TO HOLD TOWN HALL MEETING ON PROPOSED FIREARMS LEGISLATION
4/10/2018 8:42:27 AM

Local member of parliament Cheryl Gallant is hosting a town hall meeting about a subject she's known to be very passionate about. The MP for Renfrew Nipissing Pembroke shares her thoughts on Bill C-71, the Liberal government's proposed bill to tighten Canada's firearms laws.

Bill C-71 would require sellers to keep records of firearms inventory and sales for at least 20 years and would also require a gun seller to ensure a buyer's licence is valid prior to the transaction. Gallant invites all concerned residents to attend her town hall meeting.

If this interests you, or you have concerns about the bill, you can RSVP by visiting cherylgallant.ca/firearms_town_hall. myFM News will have a reporter at the meeting, so tune in Thursday morning to find out what was discussed.
