There are still only two declared candidates for the Provincial Election in Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke. However, the NDP Riding Association says it's getting closer to picking someone to represent the party in this riding.   Riding Association President Chris Tanner confirms with myFM News that a Search Committee hopes to confirm a candidate for the June 7th vote sometime within the next two weeks. This past weekend, Bonnechere Valley Township Councillor Jackie Agnew was accepted as the Liberal candidate at a Nomination meeting at the Eganville Legion. MPP John Yakabuski will be seeking re-election for the Progressive-Conservatives. We have not heard from the Green Party as to whether it intends to field a local candidate.
