NEW DEEP RIVER PARK SET FOR MAY OPENING
4/13/2018 2:57:43 PM

Deep River is getting a revamped park to meet the needs of all residents. The Unity Park is the town's final Canada 150 initiative, and it's to replace an accesible playground built around 30 years ago. Mayor Joan Lougheed says the community really came together to make the park come together.

Lougheed says the park is set to be built and have a grand opening just before Victoria Day long weekend, but with the extreme weather in the forecast, she says she wouldn't be surprised to see that date pushed back. The mayor adds that the park will be accessible but will also have sensory gardens planted as well.
