NEW COUNCIL MEMBER FOR HEAD, CLARA AND MARIA TO BE APPOINTED TONIGHT
5/15/2018 8:43:58 AM

A new member of council will be appointed tonight for the united townships of Head, Clara and Maria. The new member will replace former councillor Dave Foote, who submitted his resignation April 5th. Foote became the third member of council to resign within the last year, after former mayor Jim Gibson and councillor Debbi Grills tendered their resignations last July. Meanwhile, according to a report by municipal clerk Melinda Reith, the townships have spent a total of $50,532 on "unnecessary legal fees" since the spring of 2017, mainly due to the issues surrounding the use of municipal roads for snowmobiles, the Algonquin Trail and harassment and code of conduct complaints. We will have full details in myFM news tomorrow morning on the newest member of council.
