5/16/2018 6:04:41 AM

There was a fire yesterday (Tues) at the Pembroke Medium-Density Fibreboard plant. Roseburg Forest Products, the owner of Pembroke MDF, says the fire started around 11:40 and prompted an evacuation, but no one was injured. It started in the press area before spreading to the roof, and the cause remains under investigation. Roseburg says the press line is expected to be down for several days for damage assessment, clean up and repair, but that moulding and finishing lines were expected to start up again today (Wed).
