SWEET WANTS TO CONTINUE TO WORK FOR THE TOWN OF PETAWAWA
7/9/2018 7:31:50 AM

Bob Sweet wants to continue to serve Petawawa residents as their mayor. Sweet has served on council for three decades and been the mayor for 18 years, and he says there's still more work to do after all this time.

Sweet adds he has a great relationship with the Garrison and would like to continue working with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, Member of Parliament Cheryl Gallant and the new Minister of Transportation, John Yakabuski. So far, Sweet is the only person running for mayor in the town, and everyone else who is currently on council has filed their papers for October's election. Other candidates have until July 27 to file their nomination.
