WATERSHED COUNCIL NOW A RECOGNIZED AND REGISTERED CHARITY
7/11/2018 7:11:14 AM

After three years of hard work and dedication, the Muskrat Watershed Council is now officially charity status. Chair of the council, Karen Coulas says this is huge for the organization going forward.

The MWC is a volunteer, community-based organization whose goal is to improve water quality for local communities by using scientific and local-based knowledge. Right now, they are looking for volunteers for a major project coming up this summer, that see roughly 15,000 plants and trees planted across the watershed. Coulas says having as much greenery as possible will work as a filter to reduce toxins in the water. To find out more details, you can visit their website or by finding them on social media.
