Many grocery stores and shopping centres around the Upper Ottawa Valley will be open for the long weekend. The Pembroke Mall is open from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm for the holiday. The Pembroke Walmart will be open 7:00 am to 10:00 pm every day for the long weekend. On Monday (September 2nd, 2019) the Pembroke Metro will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Tony and Jill’s No Frills is open from 10:00am to 5:00 pm. Giant Tiger in Pembroke will be open on Monday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. In Petawawa, Hyska’s Your Independent Grocer will be open 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Monday. Jan’s Valu Mart in Deep River will be open regular business hours Saturday and Sunday and open again on Monday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Grocery stores in Eganville including Foodland and Freshmart will be open for regular business hours on Labour Day. The Metro in Barry’s Bay will also be open from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm on Monday. Most fast food locations are expected to be open the entire long weekend. The LCBO and Beer Stores will be closed on Monday.
