Conservative Cheryl Gallant is standing for re-election to Parliament.
The Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke member was first elected in 2003 with the Canadian Alliance, and this is her seventh campaign.
Gallant was born in Southwestern Ontario.
She sees the biggest issue locally as the flooding on the Ottawa River, and blames the matter squarely on the regulators.
Gallant is one of ten candidates in Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke.
The others are David Ainsworth of the People’s Party of Canada, Robert Cherrin of the Veterans Coalition Party of Canada, Independent candidates Dan Criger and Jonathon Davis, NDP nominee Eileen Jones-Whyte, Libertarian Stefan Klietsch, Independent Dheerendra Kumar, Ruben Marini of the Liberals, and Ian Pineau of the Green Party.
