The announcement that the Kanata Lasers of the CCHL are moving to Renfrew is generating a lot of buzz around the league. Beginning next season, the Ottawa Valley will feature three Jr. A hockey clubs: the Carleton Place Canadians, Pembroke Lumber Kings and now the Renfrew Wolves. myFM News caught up with Owner and Head Coach of the Lumber Kings Alex Armstrong to get his reaction on the move.
Armstrong says he knows the track record for one of the new owners and manager of the soon to be Renfrew Wolves, Ryan Leonard. Armstrong expects the new team in Renfrew to be competitive and looks forward to seeing what the ownership can put on the ice.
