The Deep River and District Hospital says its medical supply inventory levels are adequate at this time- but the Hospital, Long-Term Care, and Family Health Team are taking action to look for hand sanitizer, N95 masks, surgical masks (with or without visors), latex-free gloves, disinfectant wipes, protective eyewear (i.e. shields and safety goggles) as well as level 2 isolation gowns.
Those who may have the above items available for donation may drop them off in a bin located outside of the Emergency Department entrance.
You are asked to please maintain social distance from others and do not come inside the building when dropping off donations.
Already there has been a great community response, with donations received from Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, the Deep River Chinese Association, and many other individual community members and businesses.
