The Renfrew County District School Board has closed all playgrounds, structures and schoolyards to the public. In a social media post on Monday (March 30th) the public school board issued a reminder to residents to stay off playgrounds during the COVID-19 pandemic.
An announcement from Premier Doug Ford and Education Minister Stephen Lecce is expected this afternoon at 1:00pm.
Last week the City of Pembroke announced they were closing all municipal playgrounds and the skate park until further notice. All other recreation facilities including pools, libraries, arenas and non-essential businesses have been ordered to close to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Effective immediately, all RCDSB playgrounds are closed for public use until further notice.
