For anyone thinking about a trip to the cottage for family gatherings over the long weekend, the OPP is reminding people to practice physical distancing and stay home.
OPP Chief Superintendent Rohan Thompson says this is this is a very difficult time for people. He adds while officers typically expect large volumes of traffic ahead of the Easter Long Weekend, in light of the current situation, the OPP thanks in advance all Ontarians who do their part to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by staying home.
With roads now bare and warmer temperatures in store, the OPP says drivers who do need to travel are reminded to obey all traffic laws.
