Some good news from the City of Pembroke regarding municipal parks. Tennis courts are now open for use, as well as the Bark Park for community dog owners. If you’re looking to get out on the water, the boat launch located at the waterfront is open. The marina, however, remains closed to the public while construction is done there. Plans are underway to ensure the contractor completing the works on behalf of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada does so as soon as possible, and updates will be provided as available. The playgrounds, Rapids Skate Park, Riverside Park campground, and Kinsmen Pool remain closed and we ask you to continue to respect any posted signage or barricades. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has lifted the outdoor fire ban that was in place across the province, therefore allowing recreational fires in Pembroke for those with permits. At this time, all City buildings and facilities remain closed to the public.
