The Pembroke Skylight Drive-In is getting ready to open this weekend. The local Drive-In will open for the season on Friday (June 5th) at 8:30pm with the movie starting when it’s dark enough.
Owner and operator Kevin Marshall says they are now offering online ticket sales. Marshall due to social distancing requirements they will only be able to sell out half of the drive-in. Those attending are asked to stay in their vehicles. Marshall says the playground is closed, the snack bar is not able to open at this time, but washrooms will be open and cleaned often.
Marshall says the way the Drive-In will be set up leaves roughly 5-meters of space between vehicles. The cost is $20 per carload and Marshall adds 100 tickets will be available online and 50 tickets will be available at the gates.
Marshall says this weekend they will be playing Trolls World Tour and Doolittle. He adds the next couple weeks have already been planned.
Marshall says going forward they will be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Pembroke Skylight Drive-In will also continue to offer religious gatherings with the Emmanuel Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church having services every Saturday at 6:30pm and the Wesley Community Church on Sundays at 10:30am.
