The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP has charged a 21-year-old after an impaired driving incident. Police say officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop around 2:00 a.m. on June 5th along Pembroke Street West. The OPP says the vehicle fled failed to stop and turned on to Forced Road and continued some distance.
21-year-old Colton Clark of no fixed address has been charged with:
- Operation of a vehicle while impaired – sec. 320.14(1)(a)
- Operation while prohibited – sec. 320.18(1) – two counts
- Fail to stop for a peace officer – sec. 320.17
- Theft of a motor vehicle – sec. 333.1
- Theft under a credit – 342(1)(a)
- Possession or use of a credit card obtained by crime – sec. 342(1)(c)
- Possession of property obtained by crime – sec. 354(1)(a) – two counts
- Fail to comply with a Probation Order – sec. 733.1(1) – two counts
The accused was held for a bail hearing by video on Friday (June 5th).
