Extended provincial emergency orders mean that some of Pembroke’s facilities will remain closed until at least June 19th. According to Mayor Mike Lemay, the order means that playgrounds in our parks, and Rapids Skate Park, Riverside Park campground and Kinsmen Pool will remain closed. All parks, though, are open for walking through including use of the benches and picnic tables, and the tennis courts and Bark Park off-leash dog park are open. Meanwhile, with stage two of the provincial reopening set to occur on Friday, the Mayor encourages you to continue supporting our local businesses, whether in person following the posted health guidelines or by using online or telephone ordering and delivery options. This support is vital to the health and vitality of our local economy.
