The first legal cannabis store in Renfrew County has officially opened their doors. Bay Bud Cannabis in Barry’s Bay had a soft launch on September 11th and grand opening on September 18th. President Michael Klobouk says they had to apply three times before getting approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
Klobouk says the shop needed to be far enough away from schools, secure and pass two inspections before opening.
The Bay Bud Cannabis President says business has been good since opening their doors. He adds when you enter the lobby you have your ID checked before entering the store where you can browse the selection of products available.
Bay Bud Cannabis is open 7-days a week. Hours of operation are available on their website and online orders can be placed with pick-up options available.
Six locations in Pembroke, two in Petawawa and one in Deep River are waiting for approval before being able to open up legal pot shops.
