There’s no Beachburg Fair this year because of COVID-19, but local residents can enjoy a Fall Festival event this weekend.
Beachburg Ag. Society board member Angela Keller says you can walk in your social bubble for a static parade (where everything stays still and you walk around).
There will also be a scarecrow/pumpkin people competition, a smoky BBQ roast pork loin dinner with pie and fireworks at dark.
The fireworks will be set off from the Ball Diamond and you can bring lawn chairs to watch, but are asked to wear a mask and sit with other people in your bubble.
Keller says everything starts on Saturday, October 3rd around 2:00pm at the Beachburg Fair Grounds (7 Stewart Street in Beachburg).
You can either walk the track or drive the track starting at the Beachburg Arena.
Keller says all the attractions are free and there’s no cost to enter the fairgrounds during the day.
The cost for dinner is $20 or $18 if you pre order at bas.fall.festival@gmail.com
