The local health unit is sharing some advice so you don’t bring COVID-19 home this hunting season.
Some suggestions include only going out with people within Renfrew County, bringing soap and hand-sanitizer to the hunt camp and not sharing gear with others.
Hunters are encouraged to limit group sizes, distance from each other and consider masking up.
There may be higher exposure risk for those staying overnight so make sure there’s plenty of space and do not sleep in tight quarters.
Acting Medical Officer of Health for the Renfrew County and District Health Unit Doctor Robert Cushman knows that hunting and fishing are popular activities among local residents, but adds you do not want to bring COVID home along with your game.
