Ottawa Valley Taekwan-Do had a strong outing at the International Taekwan-Do Federation (ITF) Virtual Pattern Competition.
Owner and Instructor at Ottawa Valley Taekwon-Do Luc Fleurant says 13 out of 25 athletes had podium finishes.
Black Belt Bernadette Demong placed 1st in her category.
Three Ottawa Valley Taekwon-Do athletes placed 2nd. Black Belt Justin Dickson, Black Stripe Patrick Poiré, and Blue Stripe Carson Day had 2nd place finishes in their respective categories.
Another nine local athletes placed 3rd. Black Belt Renée Fleurant, Black Belt Julie Nadeau, Black Belt Laurence Poiré, Blue Stripe Janice Harrison, Green Stripe Wendy Chen, Green Belt, Léo-Charles Ouellette, Blue Stripe Laurelle Hickson, Yellow Belt Rowan Phillips and Yellow Belt Dexter Dungey all qualified for the podium.
Ottawa Valley Taekwon-Do had the second largest group of athletes competing in the virtual pattern competition.
