A family in Deep River is celebrating Halloween this year while keeping COVID-19 in mind.
Local mother Melissa Wiper says they set up a “candy chute” at home to be able to safely hand out treats.
She hopes the “candy chute” idea inspires others to come up with safe ways to celebrate Halloween.
Wiper is expecting to see a few extra trick-or-treaters this year and adds the spooky decorations are a hit with her children.
Wiper says she got the idea for the “candy chute” online.
Wiper says the kids have gone without enough this year and they wanted to try and find a way to make Halloween work.
