The Town of Petawawa is moving ahead with work to install multiple roundabouts.
Mayor Bob Sweet says the County of Renfrew was looking for direction on three proposed roundabouts along Petawawa Boulevard.
The County has engaged AECOM to complete a detailed design including cost estimate for the following intersections:
- Paquette Road / Festubert Boulevard / Petawawa Boulevard
- Victoria Street / Portage Road / Petawawa Boulevard
- Doran Road / Mohns Avenue / Petawawa Boulevard
A kick-off meeting was held with town staff and members from Garrison Petawawa on October 6th, 2020.
Sweet says the goal is to have these packages “shovel worthy” by December 31st (2020) in anticipation that funding will be announced.
The Town of Petawawa may have some costs associated with sidewalks.
