The closing statements were made in the Kirby trial today.
74-year-old William Kirby also known as Bill Kirby is facing charges of sexual assault, indecent assault, two counts of assault, and common assault.
The charges involve two victims and stem from incidents that took place between the late 1970’s and 2001.
Based on evidence presented during the week long trial a judge is expected to make a decision November 30th at 10:00am as part of a Zoom conference call.
Kirby was arrested in September of 2018 and charged with attempted murder and following a police investigation the historical sexual assault charges.
Kirby is currently on bail as he waits for the outcome of this trial.
The former Arnprior resident will have another trial starting January 4th of 2021 in relation to the attempted murder charges he faces.
