Over 1,300 homes in Renfrew County are still without power after a wide spread outage Sunday night.
Hydro One expects to have power restored to most customers by noon today (November 16th).
Most of the outages are focused around Madawaska Valley in the Barry’s Bay, Combermere and Palmer Rapids area, but a small number of Hydro One customers in Bonnechere Valley and Whitewater Region are also without power.
Hydro One says crews continue today to assess damage and safely restore power following yesterday’s severe windstorm.
High wind gusts of over 100 km/hour caused significant damage province-wide, and continue to move east.
Hydro crews and support staff remain ready to respond with specialized off-road equipment and helicopters used to assist in restoration efforts.
