
The Renfrew County and District Health Unit is reporting two new cases of COVID-19 today (Wednesday, December 9th).
Both cases are community members in the Pembroke area.
This follows 19 new cases reported yesterday and another 12 on Monday.
One active COVID-19 case in the Renfrew area was listed as resolved leaving a total of 33 active cases across Renfrew County and District.
32 of the active cases are in the Pembroke area which includes Pembroke, Laurentian Valley, Whitewater Region, North Algona Wilberforce, Bonnechere Valley and Pikwakanagan.
The other active case is in the Renfrew area which includes Renfrew, Admaston/Bromley, Horton and Greater Madawaska.
The RCDHU has confirmed the outbreak involving a tight-knit community of 30 families is in the Whitewater Region.
All those considered a close contact will be contacted by the health unit to set up testing.
