A youngster thought it was a good idea to steal a car and lead Outaouais-area police on a low-speed chase that ended only after the SQ deployed a spike strip. According to reports, around 4pm yesterday, police were called after the child who is younger than 12, had been seen driving on Highway 105 just north of Otter Lake. Police were able to bring the vehicle to a stop about 50 kilometres later, on Highway 5 near Wakefield. No injuries or damages were sustained during the case and the boy will not face any charges because of his age, but officials added that youth protection authorities have been notified.
