Kate Carr is a student success teacher at Valor in Petawawa. Carr says she jumped at the opportunity when it arose, hoping to make a difference in students’ lives. She points out that it’s sometimes the little things that make all the difference for a student. Carr does admit that the role can sometimes be challenging. However, she says the highs far outweigh the lows, recommending that anyone interested in teaching should focus on why the want to become an educator.
