The City of Pembroke has appointed a new Fire Chief.
Captain Scott Selle will take over the position effective May 1st, 2021.
Deputy Mayor Ron Gervais says Selle has been with the Pembroke Fire Department for 20-years and served as a Captain for 13-years.
Mayor Mike Lemay welcomed the new chief to his first of many council meetings.
Selle told members of council he looks forward to building on the foundation Chief Herback will leave upon his retirement.
The current Chief of the Pembroke Fire Department Dan Herback is retiring at the end of April.
The appointment of the new fire chief took place at the City of Pembroke council meeting last night (March 16th, 2021).
