The Town of Petawawa has raised concerns about preliminary design drawings for one of the two roundabouts planned along County Road 51 (Petawawa Boulevard).
Council has requested that County of Renfrew staff and the consulting engineers attend a future meeting to discuss the project.
Staff is tentatively scheduled to attend the upcoming council meeting (Monday, May 17th, 20201).
County CAO Paul Morreau told the operations committee earlier this week they likely won’t have all the answers until the detailed designs are completed.
Morreau says they hope the two sides can agree to move forward with the detailed designs.
Petawawa Council had raised concerns about the proposed roundabout at the intersection of Doran Road, Mohns Avenue, Hilda Street and Petawawa Boulevard.
Some concerns raised by council included pedestrian and cycling safety and having part of the Algonquin Trail cross the roundabout.
