Two horror films will hit the big screen Friday night (June 11th, 2021), when the Pembroke Skylight Drive-In movie theater opens for the season.
Co-owner Kevin Marshall says they were ready to open for the May long weekend, but weren’t able to due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Marshall says they will have COVID-19 restrictions in place. Vehicles will need to be spaced out, the snack bar will have to be closed and you’re not allowed to sit in the back of your truck to watch the movie.
Marshall says they’re looking at bringing in a snack cart or drive-thru style window for guests.
After getting the news they could reopen, the co-owner at the Skylight Drive-In movie theater in Pembroke says he was booking the films for this weekend on Monday.
Movies playing opening weekend include “A Quiet Place Part II” and “The Conjuring – The Devil Made Me Do It”.
The first movie will start at dusk (roughly 9:20pm) and the Skylight Drive-In does not close for rain.
The cost is $20 for a car load of people and tickets are available online with some available at the gates.
